New Year's Eve Outfits: Five Looks to Welcome the Year in Style
From a dinner at home with friends to a glittering gala, five complete looks with the shoes and accessories to match.

New Year's Eve is the one night when more is more. Whether you are celebrating at home, in a restaurant or at a ball, here are five complete looks to choose from.
1. The classic gala
A floor-length black sequinned gown, silver strappy heels, a crystal clutch and a sleek low bun. Timeless, elegant and perfect for photos at midnight.
2. The cocktail party
A satin midi dress in a warm colour such as burnt orange, champagne or deep red, with a draped or ruched bodice. Gold earrings, nude heels and a soft wave in the hair.
3. The dinner with friends
A metallic or sparkly top with black coated jeans and ankle boots. Dressed up, but relaxed enough to cook, laugh and sit for hours.
4. The dance floor
A sequinned mini or a dress with fringe that moves when you do. Choose block heels so you can dance until the early hours, and bring a faux-fur stole for the walk home.
5. The elegant cover-up
A long-sleeve embellished dress with a high neckline: glamorous and modest at the same time. Add statement earrings and a velvet clutch.
Finishing touches
- Pick one metal (gold or silver) for all your jewellery.
- Pack plasters, a mini lipstick and a hair tie in your clutch.
- Plan a warm layer: Belgian midnights are cold.
Our party collection fills the boutique from November. Come early in the season for the widest choice of sizes.
